Reactive power controllers MCE and MCX are designed to measure the reactive power of an installation and to give the necessary instructions for connecting & disconnecting capacitors in order to maintain the desired cos Ö.

All the controllers are commanded by a microprocessor that ensures an uniform ageing of contractors and capacitors by using a circular connection sequence that takes into account the time that each capacitor has been switched on.

Power factor value to be reached can be adjusted in a continuous way, between 0.85 inductive and 0.95 capacitive.

Standard working programs for controllers are 1:1:1:1, 1:2:2:2, 1:2:4:4, 1:2:4:8 and 1:1:2:2.

Power factor controllers MCE measures the cos ö of a supply system and control the automatic connection and disconnection of compensation capacitors according to the desired cos ö. The MCE-12F plus (12 steps) power factor controller measures cos ö in the system and regulates the automatic connection and disconnection of the capacitors depending on the required cos ö. MCE-12F plus is specially designed to control equipments with static switches based on thyristors, which operate through a zero step controller.

These reactive power controller are designed to measure the reactive power of an installation by giving the necessary instructions for connection and disconnection of capacitors in order to maintain the desired cos ö. Controllers are show in a 3-digit display of the set-up or actual values. They show the cos ö, that the total current & the harmonic distortion.

All controllers are commanded by a microprocessor that ensures an uniform ageing of contactors and capacitors by using a circular connection sequence which takes into account the time that each capacitor has been switched on (FIFO system).

Controllers can include a fully operational alarm relay that acts when the automatic capacitor bank cannot reach the required cos ö in case of high harmonic distortion level, over-current and over voltages.
